Amanita, is a mushroom fairy inspired by the amanita family of toadstools, she is the disgruntled younger daughter of a family of spore harvesters, one of the lowest ranks of autumn fairy, tasked with collecting the spores of edible mushroom and spreading them for the next year. unlike the rest of her family Amanita was more interested in the poisonous varieties of fungi which were destroyed on sight, enjoying the beautiful colours and interesting shapes they make, revelling in the risk they pose, often sneaking away from the rest to approach these dangerous toadstools, over the years she developed a resistance to their poison, and began trying to find a use for them, discovering a passion for alchemy, however this came at a cost as she begun to exude the same toxins as her beloved toadstools, harming those around her, which resulted in sadly being cast out of her village by their elders regardless of her families pleas.
now living alone amongst the toadstools bitter at the world and still working on her potions and tinctures she has developed many cures to aliments of her kind but finds them untrusting of her, and rightly so as she not only creates remedies, but also devastating poisons, a fairy living alone needs protection and what better way to protect oneself when so small than to kill first, as quickly and efficiently as her namesake.
